About Us
Red Hat on the River, located on the scenic waterfront of Irvington, NY, is a modern American bistro delighting guests since 2003. Set in a beautifully restored 100-year-old factory, the space features banquettes, a pewter bar, and WPA-era art reminiscent of a Parisian bistro. Nearly every seat offers stunning views of the Hudson River. What began as a small main street eatery has grown into a vibrant riverside destination featuring patio dining and a rooftop bar.
Our mission is to create memorable dining and private event experiences. We are dedicated to fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere where guests can savor clean and thoughtful food and beverage, while they connect with each other, our staff, and the setting. With a commitment to doing what is right, we will provide the highest level of hospitality in a comforting manner. Our menus focus on sustainability and quality, as we strive to nourish both our patrons and the planet, one experience at a time.

Our modern American bistro features Italian cuisine complemented by timeless bistro classics, including steak frites, moules frites, and the signature Red Hat burger. Oysters, refined small plates, seafood, pasta, seasonal salads, and thoughtfully composed sandwiches complement our selection of starters and entrées. Brunch on the river presents an elegant array of sweet and savory offerings. At the bar, savor inventive craft cocktails, local draft beers, and a carefully curated selection of old world–inspired wines, artfully paired to complete the experience.
